Application done online, both me and my husband have credit scores of 999 (the highest there is) and no defaults, late or missed payments yet we were declined. No reason, total waste of time and now I am going to have to check my credit file to see if they have damaged our immaculate credit file due to this

I was refused a loan from Sainsbury's 3 months ago - i was advised to check my credit report which i did, i discovered that the council hadn't updated my address onto their system... this was done last month. so i have submitted all my details requesting for a loan and yet again i have been declined.

I have a good job and get paid well, I own my own house, I'm not in any debt and dont understand how i can be refused AGAIN!!

Personally i think Sainsbury's just pretend to over loans and they decline everyone...... looks like I'll be shopping elsewhere.

Had a good experience. Advertised 6% with M&S, was offered 12% ! I hastily checked experian (998 out of 999 rating) thinking something was amiss. Was offered 6.1% for same application and paperwork arrived next day. Call centre staff were more than proficient and helpful. So far a good experience. Looking through these reviews they seem polarised. perhapse some leanders just want certain people or their systems highlight different risk profiles?? I would advise to try antoher company if unsucessful as my 12% M&S offer was pluckked from somewhere with no grounds i can think of. They didnt get my business, so its not me thats lost out. I thought they would be fighting for good creditors, but what do I know about finance eh? Well done sainsburys Bank though.

I have tried to swap my direct debit and am told I cant unless I get a letter from my bank saying they are happy to set up a direct debit with them, I would never go with Sainsburys' finance services again, far far too much trouble.

applied for a loan ,only to be declined without any other explanation,i,ve no debts ,an excellent credit rating and are in full time employment, perhaps this loan offer of 6.3% is another ficticious pr draw to put sainsburys on top of the pile, not heard of anyone getting a loan either after asking an number of people, the only thing i did find was some disgruntled people with the same scenario on a forum in money credit expert, come on sainsburys ,explain,or give me a valid reason for being declined ,or i start shopping at tesco,

I cannot fault Sainsbury's online loans. The day after I applied, it was confirmed and dealt with on the phone brilliantly. They sent me my documents and I got my loan within a few days. I can't fault them and I would definitely recommend them if you have good credit.

I was very happy with my loan from Sainsbury's until I found a better rate elsewhere. I asked for an early settlement and they gave me a settlement figure. I was told that no further interest would be charged but to my surprise, they had kept £100. My advice is to not believe everything they tell you.

After applying, I am pleased to say my personal experience was a very positive one. I received the paperwork to sign within two days and the money was in my account within six working days from my initial application. When I did call them with a query, their staff were very polite and helpful.

The whole application process took no more than about 15 minutes, then within the following 5 minutes, my loan was accepted. The money was in my account within 5 days of them receiving my signed form. A very fast, efficient service from which all the other companies should take note.

I was accepted instantly and I had the cheque within 24 hours (thanks to the £30 optional courier fee and the optional “gold insurance”). I did have some problems changing my payments from monthly to weekly which lead to some problems with my credit file. Just make sure if you take out a loan with them, you are prepared for the full loan term.
