AA Loans are provided by The Co-Operative Bank and they offer loans for £7,500-£14,950 payable over 1 -7 years. Their rates are similar to other banks and high street lenders. When you click apply from their website, you will be redirected to the The Co-Operative Bank loan application.
You can apply online or over the phone. After filling out their online application form, they will check your details and credit history to make sure you are eligible. They will then contact you with their preliminary decision and arrange for the relevant papers to be sent to your home address. If you use their courier service you will get their paperwork quickly, but it will take up to two working days if you don't. After you have signed and sent back the relevant documents, (you may also need to send additional identification), and everything is confirmed, the money will be in your account within 7 days. An optional CHAPS fee is payable if you want the money within 48 hours.
They only offer loans to people who have good credit so if you have late payments, CCJs or defaults on your credit file, don't apply because you'll get turned down. Even if you have good credit, this doesn't necessarily mean you are going to get accepted. Their application is similar to other high street lenders, but it can take a bit longer to get your money as you have to send documents to them. The AA run quite strict credit checks so it might be difficult to be accepted if your credit history is not in order. If you are successful though, you will receive a fantastic, fast and reliable service. The phone service is also good so if you have any queries you can phone on them on their free number.

Money in 48 hours

After going onto the AA website and filling their application form rather quickly, then gave an almost instant decision. The loan was to finish an extension and the money was in my account within 48 hours, after just paying a small fee. The rate was even super low at 6.2%
Refused with great credit

I have always had really great credit and they advertised a low rate. I phoned to apply with AA yesterday and after a credit check, I was refused. They may only offer you a higher rate so make sure that you know what your APR is before you agree to anything. I would suggest having a look around elsewhere.
Highly recommend

AA's customer service is excellent. If you do want to call them, you won't have to wait too long, I got through within seconds on the occasions I called. I paid a little extra for the courier service so my cheque would get here quicker, and it was there the next day! Would highly recommend.
Easiest loan I've ever got

I got a loan two years ago with AA and I was so happy with the whole process. A decision was made on the website when I filled out their application within minutes. I called them up to confirm everything and the courier arrived the next day with all the documents. I couldn't believe it! I signed the agreement and then my cheque arrived.
Refused straight away

I applied online through the AA for a loan and I was refused point blank! I have good credit, I work full time, I earn a sufficient amount and did not want to borrow a large sum of money. Now, I have a footprint on my credit score and I can't apply for credit for another 3 months. Only apply if your circumstance is stable.
